The groundhog may not know as much as we thought.

Coming home from church today we spotted this cute little groundhog on the side of the road.

I don't see a shadow. Doesn't that mean warm springlike weather is right around the corner?

Then why does the forecast show rain and cold weather all next week?

Again. For the 27th week in a row.

I'm beginning to think this whole groundhog weather predicting thing is just an old wives tale....

Well, let's hope that your groundhog not seeing his shadow will be an indication of what our weather will do in the near future. But it looks like our weather forecasters are also calling for below normal temps for the month of April. Drats! Can we just fast forward to summer now? :)

But you DON'T want a groundhog to see it's shadow, so that part's good... as far as your weather forecast, perhaps the weatherman is wrong?
(That little critter is adorable!)

I'm curious as to which road you were driving on (since we live nearby). We have a groundhog we always see on a certain road. Sometimes there are two of them. We call them Squish and Smush (because if they aren't careful....they will be....)

Oh, I don't think we've ever seen a groundhog around here. He's so cute! He was just double checking to make sure he understood what the temperature was today and taking advantage of it since it will hit freezing again one night this week.

I am amazed you were able to catch his picture so fast. Cute!
