Any why would they?
Sarah may be wearing a dress and plastic heels but she can get down and dirty with the best of 'em.She's already the kind of girl I always wished I was. She's girly, pink, soft, and glittery on one hand and tough-as-nails, let's-play-in-the-dirt, I'm-not-afraid-of-anybody-or-anything on the other hand.
So today, when the boys told her they didn't want to play with her, she took it all in stride.
She came in the house, told me what happened and started singing the following song:
Boys are mean.
I don't care.
They aren't my friends.
I only like girls.
Boys are mean but not my brother.
Because booooooys arrrrrrre meeeeeeeean!
Alanis Morissette would be so proud!
Here's a picture of Sarah, last week before her declaration of boy hate, hanging out with the boys watching a big truck .

Boys are stinky!
don't you just love their little songs? sooooooooooooooooooooo sweet.
You do not even want to get me started on those boys next door.
You go Sarah !!!
That is the most adorable photo! Just wait, a few more years and those boys will be begging for her company...
Such a cute song! I loved it.
It hurts to be rejected, but I'm glad she's got such a good attitude! I love the photo, children are so great.
Your last line killed me :)
Sounds like she would get along great with my plastic heeled child. Princess power!
Great song. Remember to sing that to her in 13 years when one of the neighborhood boys is the object of her affection or breaks her heart.
In fact, I may start singing that at my house.
Aw, what a big girl. She could've gotten really upset...what a great little story.
I wish my Goosey was just a little bit tougher - but my Lu - watch out world!
And tomorrow they will be begging her to play again. Boys and girls... on again off again.
LOL, she sounds like my 4 yr old.
Haha, well, I have to say I admire her carefree attitude...many kids would start with the waterworks. She's got a great attitude.
