Hair she goes again!

If you don't want to hear me ramble on and on again about my hair then I'm giving you fair warning. You can click away now.

But if you do, then here goes.

I've written at length about my hair and getting it sort of cut and getting it sort of cut again. And some of you are probably wondering if I'm just getting my hair cut to have something to blog about.

But I can assure you, if I needed something to blog about, I would go to Wal-Mart and just let nature take it's course.

In my endless quest to have a cute and sassy hair style, I went back to my hair stylist again this morning. And I know deep in my heart of hearts, I want an inverted bob.

I don't want one quite as extreme as Posh Spice's. To pull off a bob as inverted as hers you have to be 80 pounds soaking wet. And apparently, you aren't allowed to smile either.

Because, really, what's she got to smile about anyway?

So, I want an inverted bob. But I'm also a big, big chicken.

So my sweet hair stylist is helping me get to where I want to be by holding my hand and taking me there very slowly.

And after today's visit, this is where we are now...

I like to call this bob, the "barely,sort-of, almost inverted bob". Or the "inverted bob for big chickens".

And this picture is making me wonder when my nose became so protrusive. Does this happen in old age or is this just a product of my new, barely-sort-of inverted-just-for-big-chickens bob?

Hmmm...and it looks like both sides aren't cut quiet the same. Oh, well. Any adjustments will have to wait until my next visit in six weeks.

So, there you have it. My new sort-of do.

And at the rate I'm going, in roughly two years, I will have the inverted bob I have always dreamed of, right about the time that inverted bobs have become so 2007.
And with that, I leave you with one last image because my son found my college mortarboard and thought I should be photographed wearing it and because my arms look so freakishly thin...

Eat your hearts out, Posh Spice and David Beckham!

YEAH, Finally photos of the "bob"! I think you definitely could have pulled off a completely inverted one! Love the hat by the way!

I love it! One of my favorite haircuts and it looks beautiful on you.
Great color, too, btw.

You look pretty with your new haircut. And besides who wants to look like Posh if David Beckham is the sort of boy you attract, ummmm yeah as I was saying the sooner you cut your hair the better. LOL

I love it, Beth!! I've been shy about getting the invert also...but I'm more on my way than I have been.

It looks great. Six weeks from now, you'll be all over the invert! :)

I love your new hair-do, and I love the last picture of you too! Your son will treasure it in the years to come...your smile is quite contagious!

I'm so glad you shared this...

LOL! You crack me up :) I'm right there with you on the hand-holding for haircuts. I've had enough hack-jobs to fear anything more than 1 inch cut off the length of my hair.

I think you look fabulous! You have really healthy, shiny hair :)

I think it's great! My hair seems to be quite the opposite of yours...long, wild, and curly. I drastically cut mine once about every two years...it grows really fast so I grow it out and then chop it all off to give it to Locks of Love. I've done it five times now!

Anyway, as much as I do love my curls, I sometimes really envy straight, pretty hair. Yours makes me jealous!!

You are such a goof ball! (I mean that in a good way). That last picture cracked me up. You need to wear that at Confluence.

With that said, I love your hair it turned out great.

Coming from a hairstylist here...
It is supposed to be a little longer on the one side you part it on, to give it a swing effect, especially if you have no bangs. I like it! I think you could even pull it off shorter and sassier, but I know, baby steps.

Smart move keeping it a little longer at first. I went all "Posh" but I was 9 months pregnant - one of those pregnant things to make my life easier with less hair (I cried so much after it was done). Well, I've finally grown it out. I really like my cut a little longer. It looks good on ya and I agree with Heather, you could definitely pull it off shorter!

I love that cut and it looks good on you!I'm with the others - you would look great with it shorter, but I totally understand the baby steps.

You look much better than Posh my friend, you go girl.

You are a chicken, aren't you? In six weeks, I expect to see the total inverted bob.

you do look great, though.

I like the length now, I just think it needs more layers in it. Something light and whispy

I have the big chicken inverted bob too! Welcome to the club. I need to get layers in mine and a bit shorter because I have such thin hair and it's always in my face...hair stuck in lipstick is NOT FUN!

Well, that looks fantastic! I can't wait to see the next step.

I have realy long hair (because my husband likes it like that) but I really want a Katie Holmes/Kate Cruise cut. I'm planning to baby step my way there, too.

You look adorable! I'm always jealous of people who can wear their hair all cute like that - mine would never look that cute - it would just frizz everywhere ;)

well you know....our noses never stop growing. That sucks. Mine is already HUGE! I'm scared!

but you look cute!

I love that do!

Cute 'do! Wish I could do the inverted bob, but my hair is too short and in layers. So I'd have to go through the whole "growing out" phase. No thanks!

I vote for shorter too!

OMG your hair looks super cute!! Seriously, I love the new cut.

Oh sooo cute - I can't wait for the next installment when you go even shorter.
And you're way cuter than posh...she just looks mean!
