Meet Bob.

My good friend Tracy wanted to see a picture of my new do - the one that I style with my trusty curling iron.

So here it is....

I got it cut about a month ago and didn't bother to post about it because basically it's just a simple bob. And to be quite honest, I'm not that thrilled with it.

I've had bobs before and well, they're just bobs. They aren't trendy or stylish or anything special.

But bobs are classic, elegant and timeless. Three adjectives I frequently use to describe myself.

Oh, I kid.

I guess I'm just not sure what to do with my hair.

I guess I keep thinking that a new hairstyle will suddenly make me look 10 pounds thinner, will suddenly make my house cleaner and more organized, will suddenly make my kids better behaved and will suddenly put a little bounce in my step.

Clearly a new hairdo isn't going to do any of that.

So, I might as well come to terms with the bob. It's just hair. And that's all.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

But for some reason, I keep looking.

So if you see someone with a timeless bob flipping through all of those over-priced hair magazines in the supermarket letting out a big long sigh, that will be me.

I'll be looking for the perfect hairstyle that not only suits my face shape and my hair type, but one that also promises weight loss, a clean house and sweet kids.

Wish me luck...

Yup. That sounds like me. I constantly look for that trendy, stylish haircut that makes me look 10 years younger, 10 pounds lighter and 10 degrees hipper - OH and the one that takes less than 10 minutes to fix. In the end, I get long layers. Every. time. And then I can't fix it and I end up with my hair in a ponytail all summer long. And my hair in a pony tail all winter long.

KEEP BELIEVING

I think it looks great, but if you don't care for it, why don't you just cut it a little shorter?

Cute Do and cute outfit. I understand about the Bob thing though. I strugle with what to do with my hair every time I get it cut. I found a picture on the internet of some Star (dont know her name) and took it to my stylist. Of course, I cant ever get my hair to look like the pictre. Sigh- such is life

I like it Beth! very trendy!!! You may actually find you'd like it even better a little shorter. I know I always hate the in between short and long staged with my hair. It has to be one or the other for my hair to do anything.

I think your hair looks really cute like that. You've reminded me that I need to get a haircut. It's way too long and full of nasty split ends. Bummer.

Haha, I think your hair looks great! I always feel better after a haircut, but sadly it's just a temporary lift in terms of housework and stuff like that.

I find that no matter WHAT I have in mind for my hair, it ALWAYS turns out to be a bob.

I have a weakness very similar to Kryptonite, it's the bob haircut, I don't know why for sure, but I'm acutely aware of it. I think it looks amazing on you!
