People Google the silliest things!

One of the great things about having a blog is checking all the Google searches on Stat Counter to see what interesting things people are Googling to get here.

Normally I find boring things like "how do I get rid of my chin hair" or "pirate ship birthday cake". These make sense to me because I have done posts on them in the past and because these sound like something I myself might actually type into Google and at some point probably have. (Those darn chin hairs still plague me by the way!)

So imagine my delight when I came across these beauties in my Stat Counter:

I broke a tooth, can I glue it? - Well, like I said, Daddy will try to glue anything. He's never actually tried to glue anything back into or onto someones body but bring it over. Dr. Dan will see what he can do!

How to get 20 year old to do chores. - Perhaps I should be Googling this myself because Peter keeps telling me he's going to live with me forever. And my current method for doing chores is probably not going to work if he's still here in 15 years.

I'm in love with Michael Jackson's answering machine. - Wow! I don't even know how to respond to that one. And I doubt this post that they found after their Google search was any help either. But hey, maybe they have some advice for me and my veiny hands!

I've always said that you can find the answer to any question on Google. And at the rate I'm going, I may find myself Googling "I have veiny hands, a 20 year old who won't leave and a husband who won't stop gluing things."

I hope I don't end up back here if I do!

I love to read those Google referrals too. It's usually the smaller and the sillier posts that get the most traffic from google searches. My post about gum? TONS of traffic!!! How sad for the person who is looking for something serious to come across one my adolescent humor posts. I guess those are the risks you take in the world of search engines.

OMG. Seriously that Michael Jackson one sent me over the edge.

I will add to Laura's comment that my most often searched post (other then the random June Cleaver nude and naked attempts) is one that is titled, "good morning merry sunshine". I guess people are just yearning for poem lyrics?

I love to check those google searches too. My daughter said she was looking for a recipe the other day and knew I wasn't home. She googled it and my blog came up first in her search. She hadn't thought to look there. The search worked well that time!

Can you do a Tuesday Tips or just a plain old post on how to check the google searches? I have site meter, but I'm not sure how to check the Google searches. I'd love to see what people search that turns up my blog.

I LOVE loking at my Google search terms - always cracks me up - though the Michael Jackson one is one of the best I've heard.

Who is Michael Jackson's answering machine. I am assuming it is a person since he does everything so extravagantly.

How can I get my husband to stop gluing things and start doing some chores? Seriously, I'd like to know :)

I love seeing how people find my blog through search. But there are some very, very strange people out there!

Michael Jackson's answering machine? What is up with that?

I google stupid things all the time. I can only imagine what people would think if they new. I can't even remember what I did when they didn't have google. Probably freaked out!!!!

lol, I used superglue the last time I got a cut that needs stiches... in hindsight, I think it needed stitches. I wouldn't personally try to gluing the tooth thing.

I love the google searches that bring people to me. A couple weeks back someone found me by searching for "Book of the dead" ... I have no idea how that even led them to me.

I love reading about what other people google. It cracks me up. :) And do people really try to glue their teeth? I don't think I'd try that one. :)

Being in love with Jacko's answering machine may just be the least of that googler's problems.

Just a guess. :)

Ha! That was funny! Makes me wish my stat counter worked. But, then again, I probably would need more readers, too.

I love to read these as well! Sometimes I have to go back and read the blog post that the phrases brought up to remember what in the world would bring that up!
