Here is the cake right after I made it...
Those are candles coming out of the "cannons" and the cannon balls are Milk duds!
Here is the cake after I put some of Peter's pirate stuff around it. I wish I had thought to put the cake on blue paper so it would look like water.
Peter was pretty happy with it!
Not bad for a theme cake on my very first try!

That cake is the "Bomb". You and your Mom did a great job.
This cake looks great! Did you light the candles coming out of the cannons?
Love it!! You did great job! The cake looks awesome!!...I showed it to Alan and he loved it too, his birthday is in April and he might want one :) j/k!
That cake is so cool! I'm gonna start calling you "Scribbit Jr.!" ;)
Peter looks quiet pleased with his mothers efforts... sure this is a great start and I m pretty motivated to make one myself... at least I can give it a try... shared your pirate ship with my readers... (Pirate Birthday Party) m sure they will love it to :)
I love this cake.
I'm wondering how many round cakes you used and how you cut them exactly. I looked at the family fun link you originally used and they stated two cakes, but yours looks bigger than that. And for the record, I like yours way more than the one they made. I am hoping to make this for my son's upcoming party. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks so much
Julie
