One final post about hair. I promise.

I'm talking about hair - again - but I'll be quick so stick with me.

At the beginning of summer, I got my hair cut and was slowly, very slowly, beginning to work my way up to an inverted bob, much like the one Posh Spice sports .

But I had decided I was going to do it slowly so that I could make sure I liked the cut and if I decided I didn't, it wouldn't be too hard to go back to a classic bob.

Last week, I got a little more cut off in the back so that it is a little more angled. You can't really tell a difference from the front but the back is shorter.

I didn't post any pictures of this latest cut, because I figured that continually boring you with pictures of a hair cut that is imperceptibly different from the one before it would get old.

Several months ago, many of you told me I should just Go For It! Go for it and get the reverse angled Posh Spice bob.

But today, I want to defend my reason for not getting braver and bolder in my attempt to emulate the Posh Spice reverse angled bob or the POB as it is now called. (Yes. The hair world has dubbed her cut the POB!)

You see, I knew it was only a matter of time before Posh got tired of all of middle America having her hairstyle AND more importantly, it's not easy to grow out a POB.

Which left Posh with only one option:

That's right.

Two years ago, Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham, got a really cute, innovative bob and made all of America (and me!) want to get our hair cut just like her and then she goes PIXIE on us.

Hmmmph!

When I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon, the director decided to change the tune.

And this time, it's a tune that I just don't have the cheek bones to play!

You are so right. I saw a clip of her on TV the other night and almost fell out of my chair. I kept wondering who had stolen her hair and why her husband hadn't tried to fend the thiefs off. I'm glad you didn't go that far.

LOL- I understand what you're saying. I always wanted "The Rachel" (from Friends). When I finally got the cut, it was un-trendy. And when Jennifer Aniston grew her hair out, I just couldn't keep up.

I think you should still go for the inverted bob

Oh, I am trying out the new blogger reader. Not sure if I will stick to it or bloglines so if you get some sort of e-mail saying I've unsubscried- I havent

I've had the posh bob on and off for a few years now. I keep trying to grow it out but I think I'm addicted to it. I always go back! I think you should still go for it!

I'm so not brave when it comes to changing hairstyles. I think it would take a dull knife and a bowl to make Posh Spice look bad.

Oh, I know! There is no way on earth that the Posh pixie would make me look like anything other than a pin-head. Scary.

And I know you're not making that goof...

I used to wear my hair exactly like Posh's new cut. Now, THAT'S a pain to grow out!

I just stick with the same cut and color. No way is there room for venturing out. Think, to much frazzled body, no way. Sticking with what I know. But you go for it!!!

She does look gorgeous with that haircut - I'm actually considering a pixie cut but I think my busband would freak!

I don't mind your hair posts, I think they're really interesting. :)

I think it looks like a great cut on you. At least now that Posh got a pixie you won't have as many people with your same haircut as last year when everyone wanted it.

There's a lot to say for those waiting to jump on the bandwagon last minute.....like, at least the bandwagon won't be as crowded anymore. Right....?

I gave up keeping on the trendy hairstyles a long time ago. I tend to be about a year behind, so it turns out I'm actually about six months ahead of the game, since everything comes back around! I ended up being trendy without even trying!

But don't worry about Posh (who should totally grow her hair out now)- the inverted bob is still a cute cut.
