They didn't turn out as professional looking as some of the others I have seen around the web and in different magazines but the kids and I had fun making them.
All you do melt vanilla Candiquik in the microwave for 1 minute (many recipes called for melting white chocolate with milk but I think this was much quicker and you get the same result. Plus I got the Wal-Mart version of the Candiquik cheaper than the white chocolate).
Then poke two large marshmallows on sucker sticks (which I also bought at Wal-Mart).
Then roll the marshmallows in the melted Candiquik until they are covered and then use gel icing to make a ghostly face.
I laid these on a plate to harden and in hindsight, I should have used wax paper because I had to use a knife to pry them off the plate.
It would have been even better if I had some Styrofoam or even some Oasis flower foam to stick them in while they hardened.
This was a very quick spooky snack and the kids and their friends gobbled them up.

Oh, how cute! Looks like fun!
My boys would love these. Marshmallows are their favorite (especially Peep-type treats.)
Those are so cute. Now that would be something fun to do with a class. They look Yummy too!
Beth,
They are cute as can be! I bet they were good too! :)
Very cute!! We will have to try that. Sounds like they are pretty easy to make. Thanks for the recipe! =)
Those are adorable!! I think I might have been tempted to make them like Peeps and roll them in sugar before they dried... ;)

I have never even heard of CandiQuick! But those ghosts are adorable!
i love this! i am soooo sad that halloween will soon be gone- there's so much cool stuff to do and buy for this holiday (and inexpensive!). i guess we can carry most of it over til Thanksgiving...3 yr olds don't know that ghosts didn't sit at the Thanksgiving table right?!
So cute! I think they look amazing.
Those would be awesome snowmen. Get some colored icing and put a scarf and hat on them. That would be cool
