I need your opinion. My husband told me that the look of my blog was boring and why couldn't I make it spiffier looking. I sort of liked the plain clean lines. Plus, there aren't many templates to choose from on Blogger.
As you can see, I have been messing around with the colors and went from white and purple to pale yellow and camouflage green. I don't think I will be able to look at these colors for long...not sure why but even though they are muted I find them annoying to look at and very bland, which sort of defeats the purpose of the change.
What do you guys think? And I would like everyone to comment on this. I know (I hope) I have more readers than just Jennifer, Pam and Megan so come on people...help a design-challenged, color-uncoordinated sister out!

I like your blog with the white background. It simple and sophisticated looking. As for comments on how to improve it, you know I am barely able to put words on my blog. But it is funny you wrote about this today, because last night I was thinking the same thing about my blog. I can not wait to see what ideas you get.
You can have a seriously simple blog, colorwise (you're right, it's clean and easy to read and loads quickly, which is very very nice!) and still make it sing... maybe a slightly more dressed-up header? The title over a picture or graphic you love?
You are right that Blogger doesn't offer a great many layout options. I googled for my 3 column layout. Since I'm an actress, I have the Playbill.com feed on my blog. I've added scripts and books I've read, etc. You can seach for new layouts and then figure out what you want to add to your template to jazz it up!
The white background is much better than the yellow one!
Well, to be honest, I like the old one better, though this one is nice too. David did mine for me. I don't know how to do anything other than the templates they give you. I knew what I wanted mine to look like, and he was able to do it. All I can say is to play with it until you are happy.
I like the white better. Sorry.
