It's a bit of a stretch but there was a segue...sort of...

Sarah continues to have poop issues. She was complaining of stomach pain all weekend so I called the doctor bright and early on Monday morning.

Apparently (either the nurse didn't tell me when we were discussing the initial Miralax-Gatorade Cocktail or I totally spaced and didn't follow through) but I should have continued giving a daily dose of Miralax for a week to make sure she was "emptying".  Whoops!

So, five days after the initial cleansing, we started back up on daily Miralax.  Last night we finally made a nice "breakthrough" if you will and I am hoping things will continue to flow freely.

I had a nice lunch with several ladies from my former MOPS group and of the 6 of us, 4 have children who struggle with constipation.  Apparently it is a harder issue to deal with than I realized.

Harder.  teehee (Harder...like Sarah's poop!  Get it?)

Sometimes I think I'm 13.  And speaking of 13...

Peter has had a bit of a bad attitude lately.  Not sure whether at 10 1/2 it's hormones (is it too soon for hormones?  I don't think so because some of his friends are starting to get - hair. Body hair, if you know what I mean.  I was not expecting that quite so soon!), the end of the school year approaching,or just his general nature but I really do feel like I'm living with a teenager already.

And that's really about all from around these parts.

I have a riveting 7 Quick Takes lined up for you tomorrow so please, don't be a stranger!

One of our kids has always had a tougher time in the bathroom, we had him checked out even as a baby but nothing seems to be wrong. We try to push the water because I think that may be a culprit. And don't even get me started on body hair on 10 year olds. What the what? My ten year old is still a baby? Right? RIGHT?

It doesn't sound like a good week! Glad Sarah is doing better. However - you may be heading toward some fun teenage times with Peter. :)

okay, I have no idea why, but when I access your blog from bloglovin' it will not let me comment - not no way, not no how. There are 3 or 4 blogs on my reading list that won't let me comment if I read them through bloglovin' and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. But it's insanely annoying and that's why I am such a bad commenter here lately! Sorry!

Anyway - I have one who regularly (ha!) deals with constipation issues and she eats fruit and drinks water and gets plenty of exercise and all the usual tricks that keep people regular. And yet the 2 kids who are the worst eaters and rarely drink water and are basically slugs have fantastic digestive systems. I have no idea what the deal is with that.

Also, 10 1/2 is NOT too soon to be starting with hormones/puberty/body hair - and it's a rude awakening for moms if I do say so myself. It caught me totally unprepared when it happened here. Growing up is tough on everyone.
