What I Wore Sunday

Before we get into the outfit, which is why I know you are all here today, I am looking for new blogs to read this summer. I've got a feeling I'm going to need a lot of good reading while the kids are swimming, playing with friends, and generally having a good time doing their own thing.

If you leave a comment on any of my posts this week, I will add you to my reader if you aren't already there. So comment and help a sister out with her summer blog reading!

Now, onward and upward to my outift - which I happen to love.  For the last two years, I have been avoiding the whole maxi dress trend but I finally tried one on and I felt great in it!

Nothing like embracing a trend when it's on its way out!  And I just noticed that now maxi skirts are everywhere.  Perhaps I'll grab one of those while it's still fashionable to be wearing one.

Forgive me for not having any of my normal dorky catalog-style photos this week (or maybe you are thanking me for no awkward poses and totally fake smiles.)  All I've got today are family style photos and the second one is grainy because Sarah took it with my cell phone.

Details:

Dress: Target
Shirt: Target
Shoes: Kohls

Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend and for more What I Wore Sunday, head on over to Fine Linen and Purple.

Looks flawlessly comfortable! I've always been too tall for maxi dresses so every time in at the store and see one I feel like throwing a tiny tantrum ;)

You look beautiful!

And are maxi dresses on the way out? I wish now that I'd stocked up on those while I had the chance! I hate bearing bare legs in the summer (mine are too veiny !!); but I've been avoiding the maxi trend for some crazy reason. When I see how pretty you look in yours, I suddenly wish I had a closet full of them!

I don't think Maxi dresses are on their way out...but I am also the queen to accepting a trend just when it's not fashionable any more. Maybe we are kindred spirits that way. Regardless, your dress looks great!

The maxi dress works so well for you, and what a great print! I haven't quite worked up the courage to try the trend yet, although they always look so good on everyone else.

Did you know that McMommy is blogging again!! I've been under a rock or something because I just discovered this...and she's been back since the fall. I don't have the link, but I'm sure you can find her.

Love the dress Beth...and slightly jealous of the beach trip.

Since you already read my blog (yay!) I will suggest one for you that I have fallen in love with.

Her blog is called "Everything and Nothing from Essex"...highschool music teacher turned stay-at-home mom of a special-needs daughter, a precious son (due to her delays and he being 18 mths younger, they look like twins) and she just found out she's preggo w/#3. Awesome blog!

I love maxi dresses and will wear them long after they are no longer in style.
Also, I shop at Target and Kohls too so I keep waiting to see you in something that I own but it hasn't happened ... yet :-)
