Yes, I bought a new plunger and thought I would tell you all about it!
The place we were staying had the coolest plunger. It looked like this:
It unclogged the toilet in just a couple of seconds and it was easy to use unlike those hard rubber plungers. I have the worst time with those things.
This weekend at home, our toilet got stopped up. I told you we tend to do that to toilets. We used our old plunger but when we were out running errands, we got one of the easy to use plungers.
I am excitedly anticipating our next toilet clog so I can use the new plunger! It shouldn't be too long now.
That was my excitement for the weekend. What did you do?

Fridays bits and pieces...
1. After reviewing a weeks worth of Royal Wedding recaps from around the globe, I think it is safe to say that my mom and I were the only people disappointed in Kate's gown. It was very demure and sweet and regal but give me Pippa's dress any day! In fact, my conspiracy theory is that Kate wanted to wear Pippa's gown but the Queen Mum didn't approve. So Kate did the next best thing and put Pippa in it. Looking at Pippa in that dress makes me wish I was planning my wedding - and that I was about 4 inches taller and about 20 pounds lighter. Because, if I was, I would be wearing that dress!
2. Like the rest of the country, I was shocked and excited when I heard the news that the U.S. military had killed Osama bin Laden. However, I wasn't jumping up and down and I couldn't quite put my finger on why until I read Jennifer Fulwiller's article. God loved Osama bin Laden just as much as he loves me. That's a hard concept to grasp and it's one I've been pondering all week.
3. On a different OBL note, I kept accidentally calling him Obama bin Laden for the first day or so after the news broke. Whoops!
4. I am turning into such a little old lady. It has been a really cool spring and for the last year or so, I have been cold - always cold. I used to be what I considered hot-natured but now I'm just always cold. So I don't go anywhere without a jacket. Sarah will want me to go outside to play with her. She will have on shorts and a tank top and I will be wearing pants and a jacket. Next thing you know, I will have a rubber band on my wrist with a Kleenex tucked inside.
5. I enjoy checking Facebook to see what other people are up to. I'm nosy so Facebook is perfect for me. However, I am about to block certain people because all they ever do is complain. I really don't need to know that someone I barely spoke to in high school and haven't seen since 1987 is so tired they can't go on. Or hates mean people. Or can't stand their job. Or hates to do housework. Or is about to do housework. Or just woke up. Or is about to go to bed. Come on people - excite me with someone once in a while!
6. And by the way, I should let you know that if you are friends with me on Facebook, I will never ever tell you when I'm going to bed. Ever.
7. That's enough for now. I'm going to bed.

Everytime I picture it in my mind, I laugh outloud. And then I feel like a dork again.
My brother-in-law and sister-in-law (both who have completed several marathons each) were still in the house packing up and getting ready to head home after the weekend of First Communion festivities. My mom and dad were next door also packing up - they are heading to the beach for two weeks.
I was half way into my run when my left foot caught a small rock. The small rock acted like a large banana peel, I lost my footing and feel to the ground. I landed on my hands and knees but I was fine.
Whew, I thought to myself as I was simultaneously looking around and dusting myself off, thank goodness no one saw that!
And then out of the corner of my eye, I saw them.
My mother, my father, my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law. All four were standing in my back yard500 feet away. They had witnessed it all.
Apparently my parents came over to tell Bob and Cathy goodbye and they were all waving to me as I ran by them.
And then I fell.
After I spotted them, I hopped up, yelled out a cheery, "I'm okay!" and kept running.
When I finished my three miles and got back home, my brother-in-law said, "Well, I've seen you run a sum total of 3 seconds and 2 and a half of those seconds were you plunging to the ground."
I think now he might finally stop bugging me about running the Falmouth Road Race with him.

It was bound to happen sooner or later...
O.k. So I'm not asking a hypothetical question. I'm being serious.
Do you think it will be safe to use my hair dryer in the morning?
With a set up like this, it was bound to happen sooner or later...
And yes, that's a curling iron you see behind the hair dryer. And yes, I know it's not 1987 but I still love my curling iron. Please don't judge me.
I got my hair cut into a bob right before I went on vacation and if I use the flat iron my hair looks a little too blunt and too chic...totally not me. Well, not chic anyway. I can definitely be blunt.
And I have never been able to dry my hair using the round roller brush so, I have to use the curling iron on the ends of my hair.
At least I'm not using it on my bangs. With 5 gallons of hair spray.
Because THAT would totally be 1987.

Wide Load Warning!
I laughed out loud when I came across this one...
"Is her butt real?"Yes. I can guarantee you it is. Would anyone pay for a rear end like this? I think not!

I am on week three of walking at the crack of dawn with my mom. And I am hoping that a little exercise is all this rear end needs to help slim it down.
When I am trying to get out of bed at 4:45 AM to walk, all I have to do is think about this view and I bolt out the door.
I was horrified when I came across this picture from our recent beach trip. Because while the little skirt bathing suit looks decent from the front, it's not doing a thing for the rear view!
