Lost...

...and  no this is not a post about the television show.  I have never even seen one episode of Lost and now I'm glad.  From what I've heard about it, the show is very complicated and confusing.  When I watch TV I'm not looking for complicated and confusing.  I'm looking for amusing and relaxing.

No, what is lost around here are two pairs of shoes I ordered for Sarah.

In January Crocs.com was having a huge sale in their outlet.  I ordered Sarah two pairs of summer sandals and was thrilled the price.  I was going to get two pairs of Crocs (Real ones!  Not the fake ones I usually buy for the kids!) for less than $15 total.  I was so excited.

Then about 5 days after I placed the order, I got an email stating that Crocs.com would not be able to fill the order and my credit card would not be billed.  Boo.  Hiss.  I was so disappointed.

But about two weeks later the shoes went on sale again, so I placed the order again and held my breath.  This time I got two pairs of Crocs for $17 total.  A little higher than before but maybe this time I would actually get the shoes.

These came and when they did I hid them so Sarah wouldn't try to wear sandals in January.  Which is something she would totally try to do.

And now that it is April and the weather is 90 degrees I can't find them.  I have looked in all of my normal hiding spots dozens of times.

And the shoes are lost.

And most likely gone forever.  My mom and my husband think I'm crazy and that perhaps the shoes never came.

And they are making me think I'm crazy too because I have looked everywhere. Where are those shoes?

I guess I need to get her some new ones but I know, I just know that as soon as I do, I will find the other ones.

Where is St. Anthony when you need him?

Around here we call that "putting them up for safe-keeping." :) Hope you find them soon!

Oh man... I have SO done this before! And, yes, as soon as you replace those shoes you will find them! By chance did you check her closet? From you post about her, she is one smart cookie and maybe she already found them and she hid them from you! :-)

Oh man...I hate when I lose things. Did you spring clean them to the good will on accident?

Sounds like something I would do. I often lose the things that I put away for "safe keeping". Well, to be honest, sometimes I lose things while I'm cooking in my rather small kitchen. I mean really, it's NOT that big a space, how is it possible that I lose things like spatulas and hot pads that I had in my hands just minutes before?

I hope you find the shoes! Maybe organize a treasure hunt for Sarah to find them?
