Three-peat!

This past weekend was the County Swim Meet!  Our team competed against 7 other area teams and for the third year in a row - WE WON!

Peter and Sarah each competed in two relays and three individual events.  And I am very proud to say that they lowered their times in 5 out of the 6 individual events!

My kids don't  win the races so we have been trying to stress to them that they need to race against themselves, against their previous times and not necessarily against the person in the lane next to them.  But at this age, I know it's hard for them to get excited about shaving 2 seconds off your previous time when you come in 7th.

They both worked very hard - we attended two practices 4 days a week for almost 6 weeks.  They got a lot of great exercise, they had fun with their friends and they both made some new friends!

We love swim team and are a little sad that it's over.  But now we've got four weeks to relax, sleep late, and enjoy the rest of the summer.

The relaxing part sounds great, but when you enjoy something it's always a little sad for it to be over!

Looks like fun and great job by your kiddos.

Swimming to me is the best exercise cause you don't have to sweat to do it!! And I love the water.
