My grandmother passed away on Friday morning at the age of 91. She will be buried today and I just couldn't resist posting this picture of her.
This was taken two years ago at my cousin's wedding. The photographer captured her when she was relaxing and enjoying the breeze and most likely didn't even know she was the subject.
Her hair was always perfectly in place so she probably wouldn't be too fond of this picture. But I love the peaceful look on her face and I like to think that after months of suffering from congestive heart failure, this is how she is going to look for all of eternity now.
Rest in peace, Grandmommy. We will miss you.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother...but what a life! 91 years is amazing. My only living grandmother is 92, so I can imagine how tough it will be to say goodbye. Cherish your memories of her and take comfort in the fact you will see her again one day!

Thinking of you! We just said good-bye to our 92 year old Grandmother the beginning of this month. So happy for them to be with Jesus, but it is a change and the ending of an era.
