An artist, I am not.

Yesterday Sarah asked me to color with her. So I sat down and started doodling.

She loves to direct my activities so she told me to draw a princess. And she was going to draw a princess as well.

My art skills are lacking but I tried my best.

Sarah's princess looks so cute and dainty. (Although her earrings are clearly too large for her face!)

My princess, however, looks more like a drag queen.

Check out the large biceps, the wide shoulders and the manly nose. Even the eye shadow and blush appear to be applied with a heavy, unskilled hand.

Sarah took one look at my princess, giggled and said, "She's not very pretty."

I guess I need to put down the crayons and stick to blogging...

Your princess needs to do more reps with lighter weights. And look into some implants.

It's better than what I would have drawn! Fortunately, I get asked to draw things like a firetruck (ahem...looks more like a ladybug!) or houses (which aren't too hard!)

She's not very pretty.

Hilarious.

I have zero artistic skill so I am actually impressed with your attempt.

You are too funny. I have the same problem. It is hard to tell the difference between my kids art work and mine.

I was never very good at drawing people. Stick figures I can do no problem. But real people? Not so much.

You did better than I could've done!

Dude I'm the same way. At least she had shoulders. I draw stick people...and *ahem* stick animals.

I'm a horrible artist, and my daughter goes to daddy first when she needs something drawn or a coloring companion. I would say it hurts my feelings, but I'm always so relieved I don't have to bring another awful drawing into the world.

She's direct, isn't she? :)

I love to color...but I don't draw very well. That's life, I guess.

Even Butch looking girls need to feel like a princess. If it wasn't for 'air brushing' techniques- more magazine covers may look like that

She's not very pretty, I agree. All she needs is a 5 o'clock shadow.

Your princess looks like a "working girl" if you catch my drift! Not saying mine would look any better though!
