Ahhhhhhh....
That's the sound I made last night when I finally slid into my bed after 11 days of vacation.
Vacation is always great but nothing beats sleeping in your own bed.
We made our annual summer pilgrammage to Cape Cod. And I must say, it was wonderful. We had sun the entire week which means I have more sun now on this old body than I have had since before the kids were born and I had time and money (and not much sense) and could go to the tanning bed.
We got to play in the water, build sand castles, ride bikes and eat donuts for breakfast - every day.
That's right. Donuts for breakfast every day. (Well, except the morning that we had homemade blueberry buckle and that's basically cake which might as well be a donut.) So, yes. Donuts for breakfast every day.
Today will be spent getting back into the groove of things. Dan's heading off to work. The kids and I will be playing with our much-missed BFFs at the pool today and I'll be trying to figure out what to do with all the tomatoes and cucumbers that have overtaken our garden.
Yep. It's good to be home!

Yes it is good to be home. We were in Dallas for the past 9 days. R1 had World Series baseball tournament. Nothing beat coming home to a clean house and sleeping in my bed and then taking a shower in my bathroom. Vacations are fun but I agree home is best! Welcome home!!
I am so jealous. I would LOVE to go to Cape Cod. Glad to hear you had fun. My favorite thing about getting home from vacation is sleeping in my own bed again.
Do you guys use a lot of canned diced tomatoes? What about tomato sauce? It is kind of fun to can your own. And it's not too hard to do. You should try it. Can't wait til our tomatoes are ready to pick. Mmmmm.
Hope you have a great day!
Beth.
Ditto to your post! We are home too after over a week away. Other than the dang construction delays, the trip was great. I just say I am jealous you get to Cape Cod every summer! My favorite part of the country!
Welcome home! We make the same sound when crawling into our own bed, and usually my husband says "my bed!"
Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
Welcome home, glad you enjoyed your vacation.
Too bad I missed you!! I grew up on the Cape and still work there, and live right off Cape. Where did you visit? I'm from Osterville (mid Cape).
HAHAH, I just say I am jealous you get to Cape Cod every summer! My favorite part of the country! thanx for posting.
Well, Vacations are fun but I agree home is best! Welcome home!!
