Now that Peter is in Cub Scouts he gets to sell popcorn. (And by "gets to" I guess I really mean "has to".)
Since we live right next door to my parents, Grandma and Grandma are the logical first stop. (And based on Peter's extreme shyness perhaps the only stop.) So yesterday Peter and I headed over with the order form.
Grandma spent lots of time reviewing the form and writing down her order. As we were leaving I told her she didn't have to buy so much but she assured me that not only was it for a good cause it was good popcorn.
And last night during his bath Peter told my husband, "Grandma sure does love popcorn!"
No honey. Grandma sure does love you.

Oh me, that one brought tears!
That's so sweet =) One of my co-workers is passing that form out for his son here at work and I love love love that cheesy popcorn! Now I know I could go buy the dollar bag of cheesy popcorn at the store or even make my own, but I know that these kids are so happy when people love them enough to buy their stuff, even the little ones that come to your door selling wrapping paper for Christmas! It takes a lot of courage to knock on someone's door! I still can't bring myself to do it =)
Good point! And thank God for loving grandmas!
My grandma was always my first go-to when I had to sell wrapping paper, or candy, or fruit, or whatever my organization was selling. Grandmas sure do help us out....and they sure do love us!
Oh, how sweet. It has been quite a long time since I have seen my grandmothers. This story sure made me miss them. :(
I stopped by your blog to verify that you were still hosting your Monday "theme day".
In case you aren't sure why I would do that, please first go here: http://thehousethatlovebuilt.xanga.com/712911712/today--/
