Maybe it's time to reconsider.

About 3 weeks ago I treated myself to a pedicure.  I love pedicures and even though it was only late March I was so ready for Spring that the only thing I could do to properly celebrate the warmer weather was to get a pedicure.

And I've been wearing my flip-flops ever since, even on days that were probably a little too chilly.  But hey - I had a pedicure and I wanted to make the most of it.

But I noticed this morning that the polish was wearing off and it was starting to look tacky but I wasn't quite ready to fork out the bucks for another full-blown pedicure.  So I got a polish change.   For half the cost of a full pedicure, you can get the old polish removed, the nails trimmed or filed and brand new polish applied.  You don't get the scrubbing and buffing and cuticle pushing that comes with a full pedicure but for today, this was enough.

There was no one else in the shop so the guy doing the polish change spent a lot of time on my toes and he was a very friendly guy.  We chatted about how all of the pollen was effecting him, how we felt bad for the poor Russian kid who got sent back home and how much he liked the polish I had chosen for my toes.

As I was paying he looked at me and said in broken English, "You know we do eye-brow waxing here."

Yikes!  Are they that bushy and out-of-control?

For the past several years I have been considering getting my eyebrows waxed but I've never done it.  I've always been afraid that they would remove too much hair and I would end up looking ridiculous.  So I just occasionally pluck any stray or wayward eyebrow hairs and leave it at that.

But I guess maybe it's time to reconsider.

Or perhaps maybe it's time find another place to have my pedicures done.

I had almost the exact same experience yesterday when getting a pedicure! I've always avoided having my eyebrows done for the same reason you mentioned. But, I've been reconsidering ever since yesterday afternoon..... :)

Go for it! Just find someone you can trust, and they can do just a little bit...you can always do more later. That's how I started the first time...very conservative, and slowly got them a little thinner until they are exactly what I want. Speaking of, I need a good eyebrow wax.

tee hee...this made me giggle. I'm a natural (with a few tweezing here and there) eyebrow kind of girl. :)

I love eyebrow waxing. It makes all the difference. If you decide to do it, I can give you a friends number who will NOT mess them up. Let me know!
