Good night, sweet baby.

Rebecca passed away this evening at 9:01 PM.

At 4:20, as the kids were coming in the NICU door for a visit after school, she took a turn for the worse.

So we spent the rest of the evening loving her, kissing her, holding her hand and rubbing that sweet little head.  I believe she received more hugs and kisses in the last 5 hours of her life than many people receive in years on this earth.

My heart is broken but I do take comfort in knowing that she is resting tonight in the arms of Jesus. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. So thankful we can know that she is resting in the arms of Jesus now, fully whole. I know this is hard! (Lost my youngest at 4yo) I will be praying for you as you journey forward. Hugs and prayers, my friend.

  2. Oh, Beth.... (silence)

We're praying for the comfort of your heart and your family's. Tuck yourself in to the arms of Christ. I pray that you feel His love, strength, and comfort. May the Trinity, Our Lady, and the prayers of so many carry you through this valley.

Eternal rest grant unto sweet Rebecca. She touched the lives of so many and glorified God in her short, sweet life.

God bless you and your family. Xoxo

  10. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I really don't know what to say--but thank God you got to meet her and have some precious time with her before she hade to go. You have a little saint in Heaven, and she'll be watching over all of you...but I know that doesn't take away the pain of losing her. You are all in my prayers.

  19. I don't know you personally, but found you through a friend who posted your website on facebook. Your Rebecca was a beautiful little girl, who although was only here a short time, touched many people! It is comforting to know that she is now in Heaven not struggling to breathe, or in any pain. She was lucky to have such a family to shower her with kisses and love, and you were lucky to be blessed to have her even a short time! God Bless you guys in the coming days! I will remember your sweet little baby girl as I work with terminally ill children each day...

  68. There really are never words when we say good-bye to someone we love. Do you know how sweet and wonderful it is that she received so much love and so many hugs and kisses? Your words about all the loving on her felt so blessed.

I've not wanted to click over here because then I could just think about you and the time you were having with Rebecca.

    Jesus be with you all.
