Sleeping in until 7:30.
Sunburned shoulders.
Belly stuffed with grilled shrimp and DQ Blizzards.
Lazy afternoons spent building sand castles, feeding the seagulls and splashing in the waves.
No thoughts of housework, chores or to-do lists.
Surrounded by my family.
Sounds like a perfect Mother's Day weekend to me.

I think something is wrong with me. Part of my idea of a perfect day is time without the kids. Not much of a mother's day without those that make you a mother?

ReplyDeleteMy first Mother's Day was fantastic. My friend and I took our three kids to Trier for a picnic and exploring. Perfect! (Well...perfect if our husbands weren't in Iraq...)
